We get it. You yearn to help people in need across the world but you are busy with your own life: raising a family, investing in your neighborhood or your local community, etc. Yet something inside you wishes there was a way to do both. There is.
Boy With a Ball is excited to offer an amazing opportunity to accomplish your dream of impacting the world...Giving Circles. Boy With a Ball Giving Circles is a simple concept: You begin to talk with friends within your neighborhood, your family, your church or your community about meeting together on a regular basis (once a week, every two weeks, once a month) in each other's homes. As you meet together regularly, you build your friendships and support one another while also spending time within each meeting either learning how BWAB teams are reaching and developing young people across the world or planning ways to work together to raise money to help Boy With a Ball's work continue. Your team of friends become a key part to our team and our work.
By being part of a Giving Circle, you will have an up-close look at what is happening in the communities where Boy With a Ball is present while simultaneously developing relationships within your own. It's a network of people caring about those that Boy With a Ball is reaching while caring for each other.
You are invited to the launch of Boy With a Ball Giving Circles! If you or someone you know is interested in hosting a Giving Circle, please email BWAB's Development Director, Melody Currie for more information.
Boy With a Ball (BWAB) was founded in 2001, when a group of educators, social workers and students were gathered one night and were talking about their impact on youth. This collection of individuals, united by their passion to see young people's lives change, decided they would be more effective together than apart. BWAB has become a vibrant organization that reaches young people and their families and develops them into leaders who are able to change their own community.
