The Boy With a Ball Internship Program offers individuals an amazing opportunity to travel abroad and participate in grassroots international community development on a first-hand basis. The Boy With a Ball Intern is an unpaid, volunteer based position designed to increase Boy With a Ball's impact and to offer participants a life-changing experience while teaching them how to change lives. Past participants have found the team dynamics to be a great first step in a career in international development.
What do you get to do?
Interns with Boy With a Ball are key players in our work in several ways.
Each intern brings their own creative abilities and personality into our work allowing us to expand what we do through your amazing abilities. Early morning meetings, making contact with young people and families in squatter's settlements in Costa Rica, handing out coffee and cookies to teen prostitutes and street kids, providing tutoring to children trying to escape poverty... all of these are parts of the life of a Boy With a Ball intern.
As an intern you become a true part of a Boy With a Ball team allowing the life-changing opportunity to experience the intense developmental dynamics that go on within the team. You will walk out of the internship a completely different person than when you first entered the program.
Boy With a Ball interns leave the program as lifelong ambassadors of the work and power of Boy With a Ball in their own countries, communties and families.
